No one is coming to save Business Owners.

Look at the world, and more specifically South Africa. We cannot only blame politicians for the mess. We must take some responsibility as well. Voting and then walking away, expecting politicians to create the world we want to live and operate in is akin to abdicating our responsibility and giving our lives to politicians, happy to be passengers in our own lives, settling for what we get.

In #5 of “unpacking” and “demystifying” Vision, Mission, and Purpose (VMP), and why it is critically important, I look at Community and Industry Leadership.

Community – Personal Vision

As a Business Owner & Leader, whether you like it or not, you have a responsibility to your community.

I want to have an impact on education, and I want to build my own school, so part of my community are schools.

Learning from and sharing experiences with fellow Business Owner & Leaders are an area of the community I want to have an impact on and be impacted by.

How satisfied are you with your impact on your local community and/or your business community?

Give yourself a rating on a scale of 0 to 10, where 0 is “not at all” and 10 is “100% satisfied”.

Industry Leadership – Company Vision

Having a footprint, be that 1 or 101, is a platform that can be used by Business Owners & Leaders to make a difference and give leadership in a world that desperately needs it.

Given what you want for your business and for yourself, how satisfied are you with your geographical footprint and your distribution channels?

Give yourself a rating on a scale of 0 to 10, where 0 is “not at all” and 10 is “100% satisfied”.

If you are not satisfied with one or both of your above scores, let’s have coffee.
