Business Owners & Leaders, how many “tips”, shortcuts for success have you used in your business? Definition for tip – “a useful piece of information, especially about how to do something”.
Since you started your business, how much of the many books you read, seminars & workshops you attended, and experts you have listened to, did you implement, and it worked and is still working?
I’m a huge supporter of lifelong learning; it features in our business values. I read as much as I can, listen to as many people as I can, and to as many podcasts as I can. My daily goal is a minimum of 90 minutes lifelong learning.
One thing I’ve learned – what works for you will not work for me; what works for them will not work for me; what works for me, will not work for you. No matter who you and they are.
Some of it can work, but not all.
The reason for this is simple. What I want is not what they want; my reason for my want will not be the same as yours.
My circumstances and my reasons for my want are different, unique. So, me and you, need “tips” specific to us.
Don’t stop reading, attending seminars & workshops, and listening to experts.
Just know that it won’t give you what you want, when you don’t know what you want. Even a “tip”, shortcut needs to know to what.
